BG Stephen Duff, DCO of USASOCOM, presented the flags to the families. Three flags were presented: One to Troy Newton, brother of Charles Newton; one to Cindy Newton Bowen, Charles Newtons wife at the time of his loss; and one to Carol Long, Douglas Dahills sister. Charles Prevedels remains had been previously identified from an early investigation of the battle site and he was buried with full military honors, including a flag presentation, in 2005 in Missouri.
